The group (Dani & Dani & Salauat, in collaboration with Jordann Wells from the Orthaber group) has a new paper discussing the electron transfer processes that pyridine-containing luminescent lanthanide(III) complexes engage in. You can read the full story here.
Paper in Molecules
Salauat, Emilie, Fiona, Daniel, and Ellen have a new manuscript accepted for publication in Molecules. The paper will be part of a special issue on luminescent lanthanide complexes. Nice work, everyone!
Paper in J. Am. Chem. Soc.
Dani, Emilie and Salauat, together with Jordann Wells from the Orthaber group and former exchange students Agnes and Ellen did a bunch of work on how the ligand can be used to improve the luminescence of Eu(III) emitters. They just got the results published in JACS. You can check the paper out here.
Paper accepted!
Anna and Rui have written a paper on the demetalation kinetics of synthetic chlorins. It’s now accepted (yay!) and will be published in the special issue of Journal of Inorganic Biochemistry dedicated to the International Symposium on Metal Complexes 2019.
Manuscript in Inorg Chem
Dani, Salauat and Dulcie have their work accepted in Inorganic Chemistry. Well done, and a big thank you to our wonderful collaborator Andreas Orthaber!
New PhD student
Daniel Kocsi started his PhD
Manuscript accepted in JPP
Rui & Anna’s manuscript on the difficulties in making N-confused chlorins has just been accepted for publication. It will be part of the upcoming special issue (Women in porphyrin science) of the Journal of Porphyrins and Phthalocyanines.
Salauat Kiraev is starting his PhD today
Salauat comes from Ufa in Russia, and did his undergrad in Moscow, at the Dmitry Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology.
Welcome!
Anna has isolated a monoprotonated chlorin
And now you can read about it in Eur. J. Org. Chem. Congrats, Anna, Andreas (Orthaber, our wonderful collaborator), and Dani!
JACS communication accepted
Ruisheng’s work on multiplex spectroscopy in the biologically relevant red/near infrared region has just been accepted in J. Am. Chem. Soc.! Check it out here.
Well done, Dr. Xiong, and our Gent collaborators: Dimitrije, Jing and Rik!
